You hold a big cube of ice on the gum for a few minutes then the gum will break and you can pick it off the carpet. For the total removal of a dried gum from the carpet use a knife or ordinary spoon. To freeze the gum out of your carpet grab a few ice cubes from the freezer and place them in a zip loc bag. Vacuum your carpet before you apply the powder.

Step 3 use the prongs of the fork to gently lift the dented carpet. Use a butter knife or metal spatula to scrape the frozen gum off the carpet. Hit the frozen gum with the back of a metal kitchen utensil breaking it into pieces.
